British brand Berghaus and the Kendal Film Festival (taking place on Nov. 18-19) are broadening a partnership now in its third decade. The brand is not only presenting the film and workshop events but displaying rare apparel and equipment pieces on an archive wall. Berghaus ambassadors Leo Houlding and Ed Jackson will be hosting speaker sessions at the festival.
The overarching topic of this year’s edition is inclusive accessibility for outdoor activities. Two free workshops – hosted by Coldhouse’s Tim Burton, Danielle Sellwood and blind outdoor enthusiast Poppy Levison – will cover the importance of making film and content accessible. The “Access the best of Kendal” session will have open captions and audio description, and certain films will have on-screen BSL translation.
