The Lenzing Group, the Austrian specialist for wood-based specialty fibers, has created a new award to promote young scientists’ work in fashion and circular economy, textile recycling and the innovative use of biobased fiber: the Young Scientist Award.
The award for outstanding research in the field of fibers and textiles is premiering this year, and the winners will be announced at the 2022 Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress (GFC Dornbirn). The 61st GFC organized by the Austrian Fibers Institute is due to take place from Sept. 14 to 16 in Dornbirn, close to Lake Constance.
The new competition is addressing bachelor’s and master’s degrees students. The application phase has already started and ends on June 15, 2022, and the winning project will receive €5,000.
