Due to travel restrictions and the uncertain pandemic situation, the Performance Days in Munich will not take place as a physical event on May 19-20, as previously announced. Instead, the digital sourcing platform “Performance Days Loop” will host the digital trade show. The platform was launched in February this year as a collaboration between Design & Development Textile Consult, the organizer of Munich Performance Days, and Reed Exhibitions’ Functional Fabric Fair powered by Performance Days, the event’s U.S. counterpart.
Instead of the physical three-day event, the digital trade show will take place over five days from May 17-21. A selection of the latest sustainable fabric innovations for spring/summer 2023 will be available in 3D on the platform and can be ordered as samples. Interactive networking tools and a range of seminars will also be available. The current exhibitor list shows that around 160 companies will be attending the new digital format.
For the post-Covid future, a hybrid solution with a vibrant digital platform and local physical events will remain the preferred Performance Days concept. The next physical Performance Days in Munich are scheduled for Dec. 1-2.
