UTMB Group and The Ironman Group, the organizers of the UTMB World Series, have confirmed a final calendar of 25 events across 16 countries in Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the Americas for this year. The 2022 calendar includes three new events: Transvulcania by UTMB in Spain, Kullamannen by UTMB in Sweden, and Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko by UTMB in Australia. Transvulcania by UTMB, on Oct. 20-23, will be hosted on the island of La Palma, one of Spain’s Canary Islands. Kullamannen by UTMB, on Nov. 4-6, will consist of several distances on the peninsulas Bjäre and Kullaberg, situated in the south of Sweden by the sea. Finally, the inaugural Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko by UTMB, scheduled for Dec. 15-18, will be hosted by the ski resort of Thredbo in New South Wales, Australia, with runners traversing through the scenic Kosciuszko National Park. The UTMB World Series will get underway in Croatia with Istria 100 by UTMB on April 7-10.
