Two Spanish publishers have joined forces to create La Biblia del Outdoor, or Outdoor Bible. This is basically a detailed catalog of outdoor products for medium-level outdoor enthusiasts that is intended to help them make the best possible choices. With an initial circulation of 10,000 copies, the first issue has just been distributed to the major outdoor retailers throughout Spain free of charge for consultation by the final customers. The paper edition is set to come out twice a year. An online version will be updated constantly. The two publishers are also contemplating the launch of an outdoor portal, www.outdooractual.com, in the autumn. The initiative is a joint venture of Sport Panel, a market research company that puts out the Tradesport magazine, and Panxo Pi-Suñer, who puts out a couple of successful consumer magazines on surf and snow sports.
