U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to intervene at a White House Conference on America’s Great Outdoors kicking off this Friday in Washington, D.C., with a goal of taking a good look at that country’s open spaces. The conference will focus on conservation efforts within communities, challenges to these efforts and possible solutions. The types of outdoors covered range from farms to ranches, parks to forests. Industry and community leaders are participating in the conference along with high-level administration officials. The conference will set the stage of a lobbying expedition by the Outdoor Industry Association to Washington next week.
