Timo Schmidt-Eisenhart, sales director of The North Face for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA), has been promoted to vice president and general manager of the same unit. Patrik Frisk previously had this responsibility, and he continued to hold it on an interim basis after his promotion last June to a higher position where he is now in charge of all outdoor and action sports operations of VF Corporation.
Schmidt-Eisenhart is now in a similar transitional state in the sense that he continues to take care of sales for TNF until a successor is appointed. This 37-year-old manager joined VF’s Outdoor Coalition as TNF’s sales manager in 2007, after working for Nike for more than seven years. A German citizen born and raised in Switzerland, he will move with other managers from TNF's former European head office in Italy to VF's corporate European office in the Swiss city of Lugano.
