Napapijri, the outdoor-inspired fashion brand of VF Corporation, has appointed Andrea Cannelloni as vice president and general manager. He comes from Hugo Boss where he worked for the brand’s Orange division. One of Cannelloni’s tasks will be to ensure that Napapijri regains and consolidates the brand’s vision and core competence as a performance-driven company. The effort is reflected by the so-called “6633” project which echoes the latitude of the Arctic Circle, representing the cutting edge of its performance garments. Currently, Napapijri has 52 single brand stores, of which ten are corporate and the other 42 franchises. Global sales were $170 million in 2008.
