A small range of products by Brunton, a U.S. brand of outdoor equipment, will be launched across Europe next year. Brunton is the U.S. arm of Silva, the well-known Swedish company specializing in compasses, headlamps and pedometers, which was acquired by Finland’s Fiskars two years ago. Brunton’s small camping equipment accessories and portable power instruments will complement Silva’s offering in Europe. The range will not include other Brunton products such as binoculars and family camping equipment, which are either unsuitable for the European market or not sold in Europe through the same stores as Silva. Brunton generates annual sales of about $15 million in the USA and is targeting sales equivalent to about $10 million (€6.3m) in Europe in the medium term.
