Chiruca, the Spanish outdoor footwear brand, generated a nearly stable turnover last year, with a reasonably strong performance in Spain and growing sales in several other countries including Greece, Romania, South Korea and Russia, according to Diffusion Sport. The group's commercial director, Fernando Castiella, told the publication that Chiruca met the strongest demand in hiking footwear and low-cut mountain shoes. The brand, which is owned by Calzados Fal held its international sales meeting at the group's head office in Arnedo in January. The product range unveiled on this occasion comprised an expanded offering of hiking footwear, an entirely revamped travel footwear range and more Gore-Tex Surround technology. Adding the brand's range of children's footwear, Chiruca is reportedly anticipating nearly double-digit sales increases this year. The company also shared a marketing plan involving investments in television advertising for three to four weeks in the second half of this year. The turnover reported by Calzados Fal in 2015 reached nearly €12 million.
