Conzzeta, the owner of Mammut Sports Group, said its performance for 2017 should be stronger than anticipated in March, projecting a sales increase of 15 to 20 percent and a jump of 40 percent in operating result for the first half of the year. The group says that the robust performance delivered in the second half of 2016 has been maintained, particularly in its sheet metal processing unit, and in Asia for the entire group. The sales increase does include DNE Laser, a company acquired in the second half of last year. Conzzeta adds that it faces tougher comparisons for the second half of 2017, suggesting that the increases achieved in the first half are unlikely to apply for the full year, but the result for all of 2017 should still be higher than expected in March. The positive alert made no mention of Mammut. Conzzeta is due to publish its results for the first half and the outlook for the second half on Aug. 11.
