Outdoor brand Vaude has been named one of 15 finalists for the 2025 CSR Award of the German Federal Government, recognizing its commitment to social responsibility through its “Vaude Share” initiative. The program, nominated in the “Good Business Practices” category, enables the company to voluntarily close the wage gap between legal minimum wages and living wages in its global supply chain.

“Being nominated is a great recognition of our commitment to social justice in supply chains,” said project lead Anika Mauz at the April 3 awards ceremony in Berlin.
Vaude Share is already in action at a production site in Myanmar, where, since May 2024, the brand has contributed directly to workers’ wages. The initiative is designed to be scalable and shared with other companies. “We consciously share our methodology and invite other brands to adopt this cooperative model,” emphasized CEO Antje von Dewitz.
The German CSR Award has honored exemplary corporate responsibility since 2013 and considers social, ecological and economic criteria. Vaude aims to expand its fair wage model globally and inspire broader industry adoption.
