Effective August 2025, German mountain sports retailer Bergzeit will return to a dual leadership model, appointing Teresa Schuster as Co-CEO alongside Martin Stolzenberger. The decision reinstates a shared executive structure last used by the company from 2018 to 2023.

Schuster, who joined Bergzeit in 2022 and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Managing Director, will oversee Logistics, People & Sustainability, Finance, Customer Care and Payment & Projects. Stolzenberger, who has led the company since 2018, will continue as CEO with responsibility for Commercial, Buying, IT, Brand and Re-Use initiatives.
“We’ve seen Teresa as a strong and visionary leader over the past year,” said Stolzenberger, noting the decision brings transparency to stakeholders and balance to the company’s top management. Jakob Oberrauch, CEO of parent company Obfinim Group, added that filling the role internally reflects trust and continuity.

Simultaneously, Bergzeit has established a new Logistics division, appointing Thomas Lechl as Chief Logistics Officer. Lechl, with the company since 2018, will lead the strategic development of logistics operations. According to Schuster, logistics complexity is growing with Bergzeit’s business, making the creation of a dedicated department a key step toward scaling warehouse and fulfillment capabilities. The company’s central hub in Otterfing, Bavaria, equipped with increasing automation, will remain the core of its operations.
