GoPro cameras were apparently a popular gift in the holiday season. The company's sales jumped by 75.3 percent to $634 million for the last quarter of 2014. Some 5.2 million capture devices were shipped that year, which was an increase of 35 percent. The group's turnover for 2014 jumped by 41.4 percent to $1,394.2 million. The year saw the opening of a European sales and marketing head office, as well as product assembly in Brazil and the launch of sales in China through two leading online retailers, Tmall and JD. GoPro ended the year with operating income of $187.0 million and net profit more than doubled to $128.1 million. More in SGI Europe.
