Halti is reporting an operating profit of €1.6 million for 2008, a huge improvement over the loss of €800,000 in 2007. Sales for 2008 were €29.2 million. Revitalization measures by the company during the year, such as discontinuing unprofitable product groups and honing capital management, helped the return to profit. Halti is currently working to expand its brand recognition both in Finland and internationally, and among its successes is its agreement to outfit Finnish athletes in the Vancouver and London Olympics.
