IC Companys, the Danish company that owns Peak Performance, is delegating its power to give more responsibility to each of its 11 brands. Each of them be in charge of their whole value chain, including distribution. Finance, IT, logistics and production will still be shared among the whole group. This new arrangement is designed to enhance growth and improve earnings capacity, while creating a more tansparent, flexible and efficient organizational structure. IC Companys said it had noticed in the past that brands that handled their own distribution had better results than those that didn’t (more in Sporting Goods Intelligence Europe).
