Kettner, the retail chain for hunting equipment, is, again, in new hands. Waffenmarkt Intern, the leading German trade journal for this sector, reports that Kettner Austria has acquired Kettner International, which is basically the group’s German operations, with the consent of the company’s receiver. Kettner used to be the big name in Germany’s hunting retail only rivaled and overcome by Frankonia, but got in trouble a couple of years ago. The Austrian branch of the business has been performing better over the past few years and had better financial muscle to improve the business in Germany.
