Koflach outdoor boots are heading back into production after the venerable Austrian brand, owned by a group of private Swiss investors, struck a global five-year renewable licensing agreement with Atomic. The deal applies to all Koflach product categories. The brand will show at OutDoor in Friedrichshafen and will present a range of hard plastic boots for the following summer season, manufactured by an unnamed Central European producer. The chief executive of the Swiss company is Bernhard Welten, an attorney based in Bern. Distribution and logistics will operate out of Basel. Koflach will be its own distributor throughout Europe, except the U.K., where an independent distributor is about to be hired. Koflach is currently looking for a sales and marketing manager, to be based in Basel, and for a distribution partner in North America, with other countries and regions to follow. The new products, being manufactured by a European partner, will make their debut at the OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen in July.
