Moncler's gross margin hit a pretty high level of 75.7 percent last year, 1.3 percentage points better than in 2015, thanks in part to a strong contribution from its directly managed stores, whose number grew from 173 to 190 in the course of the year. Retail sales rose by 23 percent to €764.2 million, up by 7 percent on a same-store basis, and they helped to raise the total turnover by 18 percent to €1,040.3 million. Net income went up by 19 percent to €196.0 million.
