Olaf Matthias is the new head of sales for the footwear division of Sympatex. The 37-year-old worked previously for Ahlers, a larger German supplier of men’s apparel with brands, among others, like Gin Tonic, Pierre Cardin and Otto Kern. Matthias replaces Bernd Klink, a shoe industry expert who has left the company. He had previously served for Hi-Tec and Viking.
