Helly Hansen announced the launch of the Atlas Infinity Stretch Jacket, introducing what it describes as its most advanced stretch fabric to date. The Winter 2025 release combines full waterproof protection with increased flexibility, using a newly developed version of the brand’s proprietary Lifa Infinity membrane.
The breakthrough lies in integrating stretch into the Lifa Infinity membrane, a porous, solvent- and PFAS-free waterproof material that until now posed challenges in flexibility due to the crystallinity of its polypropylene base. With years of research and testing, Helly Hansen has now achieved a version that offers both breathability and freedom of movement – marking a shift away from conventional chemical-reliant stretch fabrics.
“Collaborating and learning from our professionals is at the core of everything we do,” said Øyvind Vedvik, VP for Winter Sports and R&D. “Their feedback inspired us to develop the first-to-market solvent-free stretch fabric featuring our top-of-the-line Lifa Infinity technology.”
The Atlas Infinity Stretch Jacket is equipped with PrimaLoft Gold Cross Core insulation, H2Flow ventilation, Recco rescue technology, a Life Pocket+ for phone battery longevity in the cold and a helmet-compatible, high-visibility hood. It will be offered in men’s and women’s models beginning in Fall 2025.
