Following the success athletes celebrated in a prototype last summer, Adidas Terrex announced that the Agravic Speed Ultra is now available for all trail runners. The brand said that every element of the new shoe has been optimized “to help trail runners experience speed like never before.”
The Agravic Speed Ultra is also based on scientific findings. In collaboration with students from the University of Salzburg, Adidas discovered the importance of downhill sections for performance in trail-running ultramarathons. These findings were decisive for the development of the shoe, which combines three elements: the Lightstrike-Pro foam, which absorbs energy; Energy Rods, which propel the runner with every step; and the newly introduced dynamic rocker geometry, which enables smooth and efficient forefoot running on the trails.
Brand new to the Agravic family is the Agravic Speed - with its lightweight construction, this shoe is designed like never before for speed on moderate trail runs up to 50km.

A chance to be mentored by Team Terrex
To mark the launch of the Agravic family, Adidas Terrex is offering the opportunity to take part in a unique mentoring program with Team Terrex. This will give them access to personalized coaching sessions led by world-class trail runners and coaches Corrine Malcom and Eric LiPuma, as well as individual support and access to Team Terrex sports psychologists, etc.
Six ambitious trail runners who break the 500-meter mark on the Adidas Terrex Strava Challenge (starts April 8) and are the lucky winners of a drawing will begin their mentoring experience in June. It will culminate with a race at the Adidas Terrex Infinite Trails in Bad Hofgastein, Austria, in September 2024. To set the pace, they will also receive a full running outfit, including a pair of Agravic Speed Ultra, so they can experience speed like never before
The Agravic Speed Ultra and Agravic Speed are available since April 1, 2024, on www.adidas.com, in the Adidas app and at selected retailers.
