ISPO Group has announced the first winners of its revamped ISPO Awards. The modernized version of the award show, which – in its previous form – has been part of ISPO since 2011, will now be presented throughout the entire year and judged by a jury comprising members of the ISPO Collaborators Club as well as independent sports and outdoor editors. In addition to the products announced today, further winners will be selected in three additional jury meetings during the course of the year. The special feature of the new concept: The awarded brands can decide for themselves at what time of year they will receive the award. All award winners cannot only be featured at OutDoor by ISPO (June 12-14, 2022) and ISPO Munich (Nov. 28-30, 2022), they also enjoy year-round coverage on the trade show’s website.

Whether it’s because of the pandemic or a general notion, when the jury conducted their first assessment of the new products, they noticed that there is a clear trend toward “re-invention:” Products are being redesigned and reissued in a more contemporary way – especially in favor of more environmentally friendly materials and manufacturing processes. For example, an increasing number of brands are relying on recyclable raw materials, avoiding harmful chemicals and focusing more on durability and disposal solutions. Also becoming more important are aspects such as easier access to sports and outdoor for everyone, as well as digital and new highly functional product solutions.
