Rocky Brands has appointed Garland’s as its new distributor for the U.K. and Ireland. Targeting mainly the hunting boot market, the American company previously signed a multi-year distribution agreement with Normark, Diamant and Tigar for other parts of Europe. Normark, the Finnish company behind Rapala, has extended its territory to include Finland and Denmark. It started off a year ago with the Baltic countries, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovenia and the Ukraine. The Italian distributor is Diamant, which continues to sell its own product line. Tigar in Serbia is in charge of the Balkans. Germany, France and Spain are not yet covered, and Gary Adam, Rocky Brands’ Canadian-based senior vice president of global development, is looking for distributors in those countries. Adam was formerly involved in the international expansion of Sorel and various other North American brands to develop business in Europe.
