Sherpa Adventure Gear, the U.S. outdoor brand of garments and accessories from Nepal, released some figures at a press conference held at the Ispo show in Munich. In 2017, Sherpa sold 297,416 units to the trade and donated a total of $74,354. For every 20,000 products sold, Sherpa has committed to funding one student in Nepal for one year. Figures for 2018 have not yet been reported. In a recent collaboration, Sherpa and Keen have launched a new shoe model, called Innate x Sherpa, presenting it for the first time at the Ispo 2019 show in Munich. For each pair sold, Keen will donate €15 to Room to Read, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships and school supplies for children in Nepal. The goal is to teach 1,000 children to read and write over the course of one year. Sherpa and Keen also offer sales support for retailers. Sherpa's headcount for 2018 was 1,611, up from the previous year's total of 914.
