The growth of the outdoor market in China continued at a slow pace last year. Retail sales in the sector rose by an estimated 4.91 percent to 23.28 billion yuan renmimbi (€3.20bn-$3.39bn) in 2016, according to the report presented by the China Outdoor Commerce Alliance (Coca) at the recent Ispo Beijing show. At the wholesale level, sales to the trade went up by 6.53 percent to RMB 13.11 billion (€1.80bn-$1.91bn), more or less equally split among national suppliers and foreign companies.
