The outdoor products segment of Vista Outdoor saw a sales decline of 14 percent to $990 million for the financial year ended on March 31, but the drop was limited to 7 percent excluding the divested eyewear business. The segment's gross profit fell by 15 percent to $248 million. In the fourth quarter, sales of outdoor products fell by 19 percent to $220 million. They were down organically by 8 percent as strong sales at Camp Chef offset weakness in the rest of the portfolio. The group's shooting sports segment posted lower sales and profits as well. Vista ended the year with a net loss of $648.4 million, including an impairment charge of $621.2 million, on sales of $2,058 million.
