The same retailer has sealed a strategic partnership with DAV, the German Alpine Club. At least for three years, DAV and Globetrotter intend to join forces to raise the interest of kids and families for activities in the Alps. A part of the plan is to bundle the know-how of the DAV’s 3,500 mountain guides and heads of youth divisions as well as the 1,200-odd employees of the retail chain. One precise project is to produce a series of films designed to raise the awareness of children and adolescents about safety in mountaineering and more generally speaking about the beauty of the mountains.
