Johan Vikman, the former chief executive of the Fenix Group who switched to the same position at Norrwin last July, jumped ship again earlier this month. Norrwin is the Swedish-based outdoor group comprising Five Seasons, Tenson and Lundhags. Vikman joined last year with the task of stimulating joint projects between these three companies. However, he has now left Norrwin to set up Travel Heroes, a store specialising in travel products in Stockholm.

Vikman contributed to the construction of the Norrwin platform, which provides support to all three companies in terms of administration, IT and logistics. This is meant to be used by other companies which Norrwin and its majority shareholder, the EQT investment fund, intend to buy in the northern European outdoor business.

EQT denied that Vikman’s departure would have any influence on Norrwin’s strategic plans and expansion. The investment fund indicated that acquisitions had been somewhat delayed by economic uncertainties, but that the situation would create more opportunities in the near future.
