A big American electrical utility company, NRG, has acquired Goal Zero, an American company that has become well known in the outdoor sector for its solar-powered charging devices. Robert Workman, who founded Goal Zero five years ago, after realizing that many people have no access to light in developing countries, will remain at the head of the company, based in Salt Lake City. Meanwhile, Goal Zero is returning to the British market through a distribution agreement with Burton McCall. The brand had been previously sold in the U.K. by the Mountain Boot Company.
