Canada-based Mission Ready Services has signed a letter of intent to acquire Wild Things, the U.S.-based military and outdoor outerwear maker, for $4.5 million. Wild things, based in Middletown, Rhode Island, was founded in 1981. The company makes its products in the U.S. under two divisions - Wild Things for the outdoor enthusiast and WT Tactical for the military and law enforcement communities. In addition to its executive offices and design studio in Middletown, Wild Things operates a factory and second design studio in Gorham, New Hampshire. Mission Ready expects to close the acquisition in the fourth quarter of 2016, subject to customary financing and regulatory approval.
