Christian Bättig, the chief executive of Chris Sports Systems, will resign from his job by June 1 to leave the operating business to Damian Wirth, who has been acting as CEO of the Swiss Schaetti group, a supplying manufacturer of fibers and plastics. Thomas Stumpp, next to Bättig the other managing partner of Chris Sports and director of the Munich-based operations of the Swiss company, confirmed that Bättig will take the lead in the supervisory board and will concentrate on his own brands, Nabholz and Powderhorn, as well as of Chris Sports’ own operations in North America. Chris Sports distributes a couple of brands in various European countries including Bjørn Dæhlie, Nomis and New Balance (the latter only in Austria). Most recently it dropped the distribution of Alfa, the Norwegian Haglöfs-owned footwear brand.
