Christian Kraus is the new commercial director of Salewa Germany. The 32-year-old, who started working for the Italian brand on May 1, replaces Karl-Heinz Maurer, managing director of the German sales subsidiary in charge of finance, organization and personnel since 1990. Maurer is creating his own consultancy for the sports and outdoor community. Kraus previously worked as controller in various firms. While Kraus is now the chief of finances and operations in the house, he does not take up Maurer’s title of managing director. The sole managing director is now a former Fischer executive, Stefan Rosenkranz, mainly in charge of sales and marketing.
