Rumpl, a U.S. manufacturer of technical blankets, has received the B Corp certification. Last year, the brand had started the necessary process and took a close look at its business and products, highlighting areas of excellence and areas for improvement. The B Corp certification provides companies with a clear roadmap for improvement and ultimately spurs manufacturers to improve their business practices. As part of the audit process, Rumpl examined its long-term view of product sustainability and sourcing. The brand says it strengthened its corporate governance and evaluated its human resources program, which aims to provide an equal environment for all employees to thrive within a consistent, positive company culture.

More than three thousand public and private companies are currently certified as B Corps, in industries such as manufacturing, apparel, healthcare and investment firms.
