The European Outdoor Conservation Alliance (EOCA) has finally put out the results of its fund raising initiative during the OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen. Altogether, the association collected during the four days a total amount of €23,000 of which impressive €11,000 came in on the last day of the show. There were a couple of companies which were especially active to raise money for the environmental projects that EOCA supports: Keen alone raised no less than €4,000 through its combiation of sandal, beer mug and ice cream sales. Polartec made the EOCA logo appear both above the main stage of the OutDoor party and on some 4,500 party t-shirts. Vaude offered washbags whith hand cream inside at its booth, while Bergans of Norway ran an Antarctic competition on its stand to win some backpacks - with every entry posted counting as €1 for donation. Interesting to mention is that even non-EOCA members shared the ideals of the organization by helping to raise funds: Timbuk2 and NG Wear from Portugal.
