The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) aims to reach the target of €1 million to support conservation projects in 2012. The EOCA has a fundraising stand at this year's OutDoor trade show in Friedrichshafen. Outdoor products that have been donated by EOCA members can be purchased at the stand in order to support conservation projects in the next year. Consumer and trade magazine advertising deals are also available, and all profits from the advertising deals and product sales will be donated to conservation projects in 2012. Bergans will be participating in the fundraising for conservation projects, as it organizes the Antarctic competition throughout the show to mark the 100th anniversary of Roald Amundsen's reaching the South Pole. For every entry, Bergans will donate €1 to EOCA, and five winners will receive a Bergans backpack. Vaude is also supporting the EOCA, giving away washbags in exchange for a donation that can be made at the Vaude stand. All donations made will be used for supporting conservation projects in the next year.
