Dynafit is building a research center in the Swedish town of Åre where the ski touring company will share its offices with the Swedish Winter Sports Research Center. The research institute is described as one of the three leading, international think tanks for snow sports research. The new Dynafit Development Center will be used by Dynafit's product management team to take advantage of the research experience of the neighboring research center. The Swedish region of Jämtland is undertaking various efforts to strengthen Åre and develop the town and its surroundings as a center of excellence in the product development sector. Åre is already the home of the Swedish Alpine Ski Association and hosts a testing center for Poc, the brand of helmets recently acquired by Black Diamond, and the regional sales offices of Nordica.
