Ecco says in its recently released annual report that it wants to become one of the five major suppliers of outdoor shoes through a tenfold increase in its sales in this segment over the next three to five years. It estimates the value of the total rugged outdoor footwear market at €100 billion. The report doesn't split the company's revenues by product categories. Ecco is already a major player in the golf shoe segment, but casual and formal shoes dominate its offer.
