After eight years in office, Edwin Haid has decided to step down as managing director of Lafuma's German subsidiary at his own request effective mid-March. He will remain within the sporting goods industry, but declined to mention the name of his new employer at this point. The 51-year-old is being replaced by Oliver Schröer, who has been running the sales of Lafuma's camping furniture in Germany as well as the Le Chameau hunting gear. The Lafuma Group divested in Le Chameau last autumn. Under a transition service agreement, Lafuma Germany continues to handle the brand until the end of March. Before joining Lafuma, Haid served for 15 years as export and sales director of Jeantex, the German brand of bike and outerwear that is no longer in the market.
