After senior positions in the product division at Mammut Sports Group and Sigma Sport, Uwe Gottschalk took over at the beginning of June as head of product at Vaude. He is covering strategic development of products for all three of the German outdoor brand's categories, from mountain sports to bike sports, pack and bags. The product team at Vaude comprises about 70 employees dealing with clothing, backpacks, equipment, footwear, design and development as well as product management, technology and innovation. Gottschalk is reporting directly to the company's top management. He takes over from Peter Sontheimer, who has left the company at his own request for personal reasons, Vaude said in a press release.
