As part of a new process of establishing category management, Intersport International Corp. (IIC) has appointed Jessica Mair as its first global category director for the outdoor sector. One of her tasks will be to develop seasonal business plans for the international retail organization's private labels, such as McKinley, and for relations with strategic brands. She will report to Markus Helbling, a veteran of IIC who has been placed in charge of category management across the group, serving until recently as chief product officer. Mair comes from Arc'teryx, where she worked at its head office in Vancouver as manager for special projects for a little over a year until April 2017, and then as “director of product – idea to consumer.” She began to be involved in the outdoor sector as product manager and senior product manager for apparel with Mammut Sports Group between 2012 and 2015.
