As we reported in our last issue, the Tecnica Group has appointed new managers for all its brands as part of a reorganization intended to speed up its growth. The company has now announced the appointment of an industry veteran, Federico Sbrissa, in the role of strategic marketing manager of the group. Directly reporting to Antonio Dus, the new chief executive of the group who took office last September, he will also act as brand manager of Tecnica Outdoor. He will be aided in this role by a recently hired R&D manager, Alessandro De Battisti, to help bring up the Tecnica Outdoor segment to the same level as Tecnica's snow sports brands in terms of positioning and image. Sbrissa comes from the Amer Sports group, where he helped launch Arc'teryx' new footwear line as its product manager since May 2012, based at Salomon's office in Annecy. Like Dus, Sbrissa worked previously for Garmont as well as the Oberalp group, where he spent six years as sales and marketing manager for Salewa footwear and as product manager for Dynafit footwear.
