Big Agnes has made several executive hires. Robert Fry has taken the new post of director of product and will be leading the development and sourcing teams. Fry formerly held senior posts in product design and merchandising at Black Diamond Equipment, Mountain Hardware, The North Face and Simms Fishing Products. Karen Goedert is the new director of employee engagement for both Big Agnes and its sister company, EN-R-G Foods, which does business as Honey Stinger. Goedert has spent her full career in human resources and recruitment, having worked for the One Steamboat Place ski resort, Columbine Consulting, Twentymile Coal, Catamount Ranch & Club, Steamboat Ski & Resort and Holland America Westours. She also owns a firm called Resort Recruiters. Garett Mariano has been promoted from marketing director to director of marketing and e-commerce. He was previously director of e-commerce at Smartwool and worked in graphic design at Steamboat Pilot & Today, Vertis Communications and ElectroImage. Big Agnes has also expanded its repair, customer-service and sales teams for the hiking and summer seasons.
