Black Diamond Inc. has promoted Aaron Kuehne to the position of chief financial officer, after an extensive external search for a possible alternative candidate for the post. He had already served as interim CFO and principal accounting officer since last March 15 following the departure of Robert Peay after 16 years with the company. A former official of KPMG, specializing most recently as an audit manager, Kuehne joined Black Diamond three years ago as director of financial reporting and was subsequently promoted to vice president of finance. He has been particularly instrumental in the development and execution of the company's global accounting, finance and treasury functions, including key strategic and financial initiatives, risk management and the integration of two recently acquired companies, Poc Sweden and Pieps.
