Brian Jung, who previously headed Haglöfs' subsidiary in South Korea, has apparently been appointed managing director at the Blackyak Group and chief executive of Nau Clothing, the Oregonian outdoor apparel company acquired by the South Korean group in 2013. Jung spent the last five years as country manager for Haglöfs in South Korea, but the Swedish outdoor brand explained earlier this year that its business in Japan and South Korea was to be bundled with the operations of Asics, its Japanese owner. Jung's LinkedIn profile describes him as chief executive of Nau since April and the leader of the global business division at Blackyak since March, in charge of the development and management of its international business. Neither Jung nor the company could be reached for further details on the appointment, but it appears to be part of an internal reshuffle at the Blackyak group. The South Korean company has been on an international expansion drive in the last two years. It has come up with an entirely new range for the European market, where its business is led by Maximilian Nortz.
