Chris Roberts, managing director of Mammut UK, left the company earlier this month. The business is going to be supervised on an interim basis by Andy Ernst, head of the sales division for Europe, although he is based in Switzerland and the U.K. operations are led on a daily basis by Steve McLaughlin, sales director for the U.K. Roberts helped to establish the British subsidiary after Mammut bought out Outdoor Elements, the U.K. distributor for Raichle, eight years ago. After Mammut's purchase of that Swiss brand of outdoor shoes, the British distributor turned into a subsidiary selling the entire range of products from the Mammut group. Mammut UK has apparently found a replacement but his or her identity has yet to be confirmed. The departure comes after the Swiss group's long-time chief executive, Rolf Schmid, was succeeded by Oliver Pabst earlier this year.
