Christopher (Chris) T. Metz is the new chief executive of Vista Outdoor, parent company of Camelbak, Bushnell, Giro and many other brands in the outdoor and firarms sectors. He takes the place of Mark DeYoung, who resigned abruptly a few weeks ago. Metz has been the president and CEO of Arctic Cat since the end of 2014. He became a director of Acushnet last year. Before Arctic Cat, Metz spent a decade with a private equity firm, Sun Capital Partners. Prior to that, he held executive roles at various hardware companies.
