Chuck Ponthier has been appointed by VF Corp. as the new senior director of sales for Altra, the brand of running shoes that it recently acquired. He is described as an experienced executive who has been in charge of sales strategy at major global brands, including Toms, where he served as vice president of North American sales, managing the company's multi-channel strategy and P&L statements. This is a return to VF for Ponthier, who served as vice president of sales at a sister brand, Vans.
