Cocona, the company behind the high-performance fabric 37.5, has announced a new European sales team. Liam Gallagher will take the helm in the U.K. He brings more than 20 years of experience across different textile industries and markets. He worked for 12 years at Polartec, where he held a number of sales & marketing positions. He has also worked for Disney Fashion & Home and most recently for Umbro, where he was global vice president. Sebastiaan Van De Loo is to take over the German-speaking region, where his task will be to build new partnerships with menswear brands for 37.5. Van De Loo has been working in the menswear industry since 1992, for companies including Bäumler, Eduard Dressler, Etienne Aigner, Jupiter/Ahlers, Calamar and Bültel. Both Gallagher and Van De Loo complement a European team consisting of other account directors including Anders Wennergren for the North (Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark), Edouard Liffran for the South West (France, Spain, Portugal), Geza Maklary for Eastern Europe and the Benelux countries, and Davide Berrone for Italy.
