Columbia Sportswear has announced the appointment of Andrew Burns to the new role of “director of investor relations and competitive intelligence.” He takes on some of the responsibilities of Christian Buss, who was named director of investor relations at the beginning of this year and recently left the group to pursue an opportunity elsewhere. Burns worked as an analyst for D.A. Davidson and other investment firms over the last 14 years. At Columbia, he will report to Jim Swanson, senior vice president and chief financial officer.
